In 2025 former Stevie Wright (Easybeats), Swanee and Band of Friends (Rory Gallagher’s band) guitarist Gwyn Ashton is releasing a brand new album, Grease Bucket, featuring Icehouse drummer Paul Wheeler and bassist Chris Lambden!
To promote the album and his current acoustic solo album Mojosoul (reaching #5 on Australian Roots & Blues Charts), Ashton is doing a series of solo shows and is coming home from Europe to perform at Agnes Blues & Roots Festival in Queensland.
In 2023 Ashton also co-headlined the Adelaide Guitar Festival and released a single with Guns N Roses guitarist Richard Fortus and members of Cold Chisel and Superjesus. He plays folk, blues, rock and jazz festivals, venues, bars and on radio stations, all over the world.
From Feb-April the duo completed a 40-date 2024 Australian tour and also toured the UK, Central Europe and Croatia through festivals and venues mid-year, performing mainstage at Great British R&B Festival in August.
In 2023 Ashton played across Europe, Australia and England, .He toured The Netherlands with UK prog rock pioneers Wishbone Ash and headlined the Adelaide Guitar Festival with Chris Finnen.
