Hailing from the mountains of North Brisbane, Cheyne Starkie effortlessly blends Folk, Blues & Soul. This classic flavour meets modern vibes in a powerful solo performance with deep influences from Jack Johnson, Bob Marley & many other songwriters that stem from his parents CD collection. The sweet and soulful voice of Cheyne Starkie is complimented by the smooth sounds of guitar where Cheyne lacks no experience having toured Australia and New Zealand and guest performing in Japan, Thailand & Cambodia, as well as having worked with the likes of international touring acts such as Ocean Alley, The Black Seeds, & ARIA award winner Nicky Bomba.
Having spent the last 10 years writing, performing and touring with other bands Cheyne has now focused the last few years crafting his solo performance writing songs from his personal experiences and the emotions of the life he has lived. Not afraid to open up about his weaknesses & struggles but also his gratitudes of the life he lives and the people he is surrounded by.
With the release of his Debut single in August 2020 Cheyne has quickly gathered attention having the song played on multiple National radio stations such as Triple J, Noosa Fm, 99.7 Bridge Fm and selling out to a crowd at full capacity for the launch of “Brick House” at Brisbane, Aus.
Having worked closely with acclaimed producer Scott French at Gold Coast’s ‘Love Street Studios’ Cheyne has been working on a number of release’s with “Feeling In My Bones” released 4th June 2021.
