Hey! I’m Elysaé, an independent artist based on the Central Coast, Australia. For as long as I can remember, song writing and storytelling have been among my greatest passions. I view life through the lens of art and have spent countless hours on my bedroom floor, attempting to capture moments, experiences and feelings through song.
Since taking the leap of faith to share my music, some of my biggest highlights have been landing the opportunity to perform sold out shows with artists such as Caravãna Sun and Dande and The Lion, making collaborative music videos with fans across the globe and another with 13 fire performers and having my songs spend time on the AMRAP Radio Charts, reaching #4.
Music to me is a tool for connection and self expression. My debut EP ‘You Might As Well Shout’, is a collection of moments from my journey of finding and reclaiming my voice. It was my way of turning pain into power and vulnerability into beauty. Co-produced by Luke Carra and Ian Prichett (Angus & Julia Stone, The Beautiful Girls, Kim Churchill), the edgy indie-pop EP is made up of multiple tracks that have been shortlisted or finalists in songwriting competitions run by the Australian Songwriting Association and Listen Up Music, and touches on all the different ways in which using your voice is important and valuable. I hope that it serves as a reminder of the power of your voice and encourages you to be brave enough to express yourself authentically too.
