Julian James has been around Melbourne’s live music scene since he wasn't allowed to drink in bars, and he has developed a sound that mixes his love for moonshine drinking finger pickers and the southern swamp wail of a back porch fiddle. Julian has been hitting the road big way and racking up Three well-received albums to boot.

Recorded at the Star Hotel, Yackandandah on a late February afternoon, the beers were flowing, the sun was shinning and the moonshine state was in full flight!

“I was very lucky to base myself for a few months in the small country town of Yackandandah, Which just happens to host some of Australia's best pickers. Bringing a blues twinge with a country twang I've really fallen in love with the Americana sound and vibe"

To escape the current challenges of being a performing artist in these times, Julian has been living in his bus and continues to seek out a good festival, a shady spot and a friendly ear.
