One hundred and forty odd years later, and the Kelly Gang still captures the imagination of Australia. Mat Brooker gets underneath the helmet to explore what makes Ned tick.

Through songs about family, loyalty, oppression, hard times and wild times, we may catch glimpses of how a young boy becomes Australia’s most feared yet most beloved bushranger.

Mat Brooker was the winner of Australian National Busking Championships 2016. He has performed at many music festivals and performed as a touring guitarist for Phil Jamieson (Grinspoon). Mat is a creative collaborator and performer in the theatrical productions “Banjo” (Banjo Patterson’s life) and “Carnival of the Animals”, both of which have played to sold out audiences throughout NSW.

“Ned Kelly: One Night in Glenrowan” incorporates Irish Celtic roots, wild colonial tunes and modern folk sensitivity to capture the essence of a national icon.
