Jesse Morrison is a singer/songwriter from Newcastle on the East Coast of Australia. Since picking up a guitar around 5 years ago, Jesse’s love for music has had substantial growth. He began writing music in 2019, sifting through all the “dirty water” songs, so that he could eventually be writing the songs he is releasing to the world today.
Jesse’s song writing led to his first release “Standards”, which was then followed by his biggest track yet “State of Uncertainty”. State was the first track where Jesse was heard with a full band behind him and his vocals, with that raw sound of an acoustic guitar still giving him his authenticity in the music. This band, made up of just a few mates who love a beer in the back garden and jamming, proceeded to take off a little further, taking on the University of Newcastle’s band comp in 2021, and did well enough to be shot straight through to the grand final night.
2 years on from Jesse’s first release, he gave us “Reptile”, another hard-hitting track with a chorus that’ll drive you crazy because you can’t stop singing it.
With his next track, titled “Cold” (said to be his best yet), set to release on the 22nd of September, Jesse and the band are looking to take on their first ever tour in their hometown of Newcastle and step out into playing shows in surrounding places like Sydney!
