Kylie Gale and Billie-Jo Porter have teamed up to bring you a great singer-songwriter show with two of country music’s up and comers.

From Coonamble to Newcastle, Kylie Gale is chasing down her musical goals and not letting anything push her back.

Gale released her debut single, Push Back, in August 2019, where it reached number 3 on the Country iTunes charts and number 1 on the AMRAP regional chart. The release of this single has been the culmination of hard work since she began singing in her teenage years. She has successfully gone on to release 2 more singles, and the most recent single ‘Upside Down’ released in February 2021, reaching No. 1 on AMRAP regional chart, high rotation on some radio stations and the music video being played on CMT. Kylie co-wrote this song with Billie-Jo Porter who is teaming up with her for this awesome Flow Bar gig.

She graduated from the 2019 CMAA Academy of Country Music senior course in Tamworth and attended the prestigious DAG Songwriters Retreat the same year, this spurred Kylie on to record her debut single and now she is releasing her debut EP in July 2021.

Gale has enjoyed co-writing with other artists and improving her songwriting craft. She loves the supportive environment that Country Music family brings.

Billie-Jo Porter is ever the optimist, the overarching message in her writing is one of hope and celebration for the blessings she has found in her own life, and the ones she aims to inspire in her listeners. Her writing has been prolific within the 15 years of her songwriting, which she has worked enthusiastically to master her craft. With numerous live performances under her belt, most notably including the Summer Street Fest in Canada, Bello Winter Music Festival and Tamworth Country Music Festival, 2021 is a year to bring her growing fanbase a taste of the recorded music.

Plans to release her first single ‘Feels Like Us’ are underway for her, with a number of follow up singles due, before the release of her debut album. The album, which she worked with Shane Nicolson on, was an enjoyable experience for Billie, who relished the opportunity to work with the ARIA award-winner producer and singer-songwriter Nicholson, at his Central Coast Studio ‘The Sound Hole’. Billie-Jo describes the process of choosing the songs to record as being a process of selecting the ‘pick of the bunch’. Billie-Jo’s characteristic tone is evident throughout the recordings. They are songs of hope and looking for the silver lining in any given situation.
