Georgie Winchester will be stopping in at Flow Bar on the 31st July to celebrate the release of her debut EP ‘Golden Times’. The FREE show kicks off at 7pm and is a big part of her east coast EP tour which is travelling all the way from Maitland to Byron Bay. These tracks have been in high rotation within Georgie's live shows around her home town, Newcastle, and have, at last, been recorded in her bedroom studio, mixed by Henry Watkins, and will be released into the online wilderness on the 9th July 2021. The Golden Times EP explores a cycle of relationships which, like everything in life, includes letting go and accepting the inevitability of change.
Based in Maitland, Georgie Winchester has an acoustic-folk sound and is passionate and hard-working when it comes to music. Georgie grew up on a farm near Lostock Dam and recently moved into town to pursue her music career. Taking a break in 2020 due to tonsil surgery, Georgie is back on a roll gigging locally with her grandfathers Ibanez.
She is strongly influenced by artists such as Stella Donnelley, Julia Jacklin & Julien Baker of whom guide the lyrics and melodies within her original songs. Georgie grew up listening to jazz icon, Ella Fitzgerald, who’s smooth and soulful style is particularly prominent in her live performances.
