THE RIVERS were born from a chance meeting of Stu Wilson (drums/guitar/backing vocals) and Sienna Egan (lead vocals) when their two kids decided to make friends in Marrickville Park. After talking musical shop and laying down some vocals (for another project of Stu’s) the idea to form a band took shape.

Stu pulled in some friends -- Andy Newman (bass); Marko Simec (keys/percussion/backing vocals) and with the addition of Rupert (lead guitar) THE RIVERS started to flow!

It's hard to pigeonhole THE RIVERS -- their music has undercurrents of blues, rock, jazz, country and soul. With so much combined musical history, the band has created a unique sound that they hope the world will enjoy!
